The time is now, From President Barack Obama on down, To stop allowing innocent black and brown men and women to be shot down, Without making a sound, The time is now, To lift each other up, And to hold our government officials accountable for letting this all go down, The time is now, From New York to Florida, Louisiana, Minnesota, to California, And all around, To use our power the best way we know how, Power to the people, Whether its voting, protesting, rallying, boycotting, or using our creativity, We must stand together for equality, Just like our ancestors did in the 60"s. And Yes All lives matter, but it seems like being black in America, Is one life our government doesn't care about, Because when innocent black men are shot by the people who are suppose to protect us, On camera, And none of the police officers have to answer, for being reckless, And there is no justice, We get the message, It is gun shot loud, The Time is now, 136 black people have been k**ed by police, just this year, So for those who are wondering when should we stand up, And say enough is enough, It is crystal clear, The time is now.
