Dyaz the Bringer of Love n Peace - Album Analyzes: Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde lyrics

The very first Pharcyde album which is also considered a cla**ic, and actually the only Pharcyde album I have heard fully, is an amazing work of art. Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde has a special place in the hearts of many people, being one of the best alternative West Coast albums of the 90's. Among with the four Pharcyde spitters are the rappers Buckwheat and Quinton, who together only spit a total of three verses on the album. While production has been handled by J-Swift, aside from one track that is produced by SlimKid 3 and L.A. Jay. The most popular song off the album, "Pa**in' Me By", is a Quincy Jones-sampling hip-hop cla**ic, and probably one of the three most popular records by The Pharcyde. Songs with concepts that are not regarded gangster were not all that popular on the West Coast, especially the songs about love, but regardless from that it still flew up the charts, hitting #1 on the rap chart in America. "Pa**in' Me By" itself is about being rejected by women. Why does the apple of my eye Overlook and disregard my feelings no matter how much I try? Wait, no, I did not really pursue my little princess with persistence And I was so low-key that she was unaware of my existence - Fatlip I guess a twinkle in her eye is just a twinkle in her eye - SlimKid 3 It was never much Just a trick, to smell her scent and try to sneak a touch - Bootie Brown Another favourite of mine is the SlimKid 3 solo cut titled "Otha Fish", which is a love ballad just like "Pa**in' Me By". It is most likely the reason why people often consider SlimKid to be one of the best out the group, because even while telling a story he can lay down some mind-gobbling lines, a sk** that the likes of Ghostface k**ah and Boots Riley have based their whole careers on. I, myself, am usually not a really big fan of rap songs where there's a bunch of screaming and talking through each other, but "Pack the Pipe" is not one of them. The song that features that features Quinton has an incredible uplifting overall spirit - similar to that of "Ya Mama". There really isn't a way to hate on the flows and lyrics in the song, not to even mention the beat that is obviously influenced by the parts J-Swift sampled from Quincy Jones for "Pa**in' Me By". It's just... who can resist someone rapping about being so high that he feels as if he's dying because his parachute has "like forks and spoons in it"? The bud not the beer cause the bud makes me wiser - Fatlip
