A more traditional (read: raw, furious, and often unintelligible) Norwegian black metal band, Dodheimsgard featured guitarist/vocalist Aldrahn, ba**ist/backing vocalist Fenriz, and drummer Vicotnik in its original incarnation. (The band's name translates to something similar to "kingdom of d**h" or "world of specters.") 1995 saw the release of the band's debut album, Kronet Til Konge, after which Fenriz departed; former Aura Noir member Apollyon and ex-Emperor ba**ist Alver joined up for the band's second release, Monumental Possession.
