Distortion Method - The Dessert Of My Mind lyrics

So there I was in the middle of nowhere, Not a person to talk to and not a thing to see. I had forgotten how I got there. And I didn't remember ever leaving. All I knew is that here I was Even more alone than before, All I ever wanted, Was always a little more. The stars crept through the black night sky, They watched as I wandered aimlessly. The moon had had all it's laughs for tonight, So now it just sat and watched me. Up in the sky flying up so high was a Vultur's eye on me, He landed on ground beside me close so I could see him. He said, "How are you? Where are you going? What are you doing here?" I told him I was lost, he told me, "Not to fear." As I turned around I saw a small door Maybe too small for me. So I asked him if he'd help me, He said, "No unfortunatly." "You see," he said "I can't be your eyes or even tell you what to think. 'Cause you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink." So I got down on my hands and knees And I started to climb in. But the further down I wandered the more the air got thin. The air got warm and then it was hot The I could not see a thing. But I knew that the Vulture was still right there beside me. I said "How much further?" "Not much more, just keep going down." Then before I knew it I had crawled right off the ground. I fell and fell and I fell some more and after I just kept falling. I started to lose hope, I couldn't help but start bawling. Then in a misty voice I heard the Vulture's call telling me to fly. "I know you can't but it wouldn't hurt to just give it a try." So I flapped my arms faster Than I ever though I could, I asked him to help me he said "Oh I know I should!" "But if I help you get to the top what will you have learned? You must get through this yourself if success is to be earned." So I flapped and kicked and I didn't quit Hoping that I would not break. The air had gotten thinner and I began to faint. And there I was in the middle of nowhere, Lying in my bed so comfortably. I had forgotten how I got there. And I didn't remember ever leaving.
