See I'm a lyrical poet So much so that I know it And if you're willing to give me some of your time then I'll show it You put a pen in my hand I'll jumble litrature and Hey presto abracadabra Im lighting letter bombs bang I take an adjective add it to give description and power Throw in a metaphor better for painting pictures its how I Elevate celebrate, make you laugh give you feeling and insight A Storytelling genius looking out from the inside I don't have no tragic tale-to-tell no broken home story No convictions or a gunshot wound to help me to glory Just like you and 99% of everyone out there Life is largely unspectacular a fairly mundane affair But-that 99% should still be represented I got sh** to share my soul to bare and anger to be vented Cos-the-average Joe still has his share of triumphs and disasters Let's hear his account of life instead-of-these co*ky bling rich ba*tards Who have had it rough and made it rich and preach it to us daily Ram it down our throats like 'I got shot and that's what made me!' ..Yeah Thanks for that we geddit you're a real life f**in soldier But I bet u took that bullet cos the shooter went and told ya 'stop your mouthing off and bragging like u own the f**in place' but could you hold your tongue of course not so he put u in your place Guys like you they just can't help themselves, from cradle to the grave, self obsessed and narcissistic, never destined to behave? You're only interested-in-impressing boasting toasting you! I can't believe this world rewards these traits is this what it has come to? I have my crosses to bear, i have my sadness to share, a little badness but there's also love and gladness in there And just because i haven't got that f**in Hollywood story, dont be playin down my struggle it's as valid as yours is Ain't no-one got the right to tell me i haven't suffered Cos i been beaten down but i got up from right where I stuttered
