Counting backwards, it all seems like such a mess. Never bending, never making any sense. I thought I could speak my mind through swaying hips, tried to prove a point, With bitter lips and tongues, yeah, you know I never won. I thought I'd never find the way though life's confinements, Through the cluttered years, and into peace of mind. I'd given anything for some clarity, For that warmth that wraps around and makes you whole again... I never won.
