Charles Prayor 11-17-2014 6th Period Epic Hero Monomyth Essay Many people don't realize epic heroes. Luke Journeys had effects on his enemies. He realized things differently. The term Monomyth generally means series of steps that every hero has to go through; Even though Luke Skywalker had to face obstacle of what he realized made him a different person. According to Monty, He already knew what was going to happen if he didn't do anything right. Monty, the main character in Daddy's Little Girl is a young black man that is facing a very big crunch of getting back custody of his little girls, which he lost during a house fire. “Did you or did you not get accused for rape.” Monty was accused for rape when he went to a party that he was forced to go to by one of his friends. Later that night Monty was in the room with a young girl and her father opens the door. At that moment Monty knew she was going to lie and that's when Monty had got accused for rape. Monty was supposed to tell his lawyer the truth be he didn't. That was one obstacle Monty had to overcome in order to regain possession of his girls. In addition, Luke Skywalker was also a great hero. Luke also had a sweet outgoing girl, Leila, that he finds that would help him fulfils the need of him being a great hero. Luke is a young boy that lives on the farm, who grows through a change to becoming a successful young man. When looking is leaving normal world he is going through a process that he thought he would never go through before. Luke always has a friend name R2D2. This robot also helps look through every process he went through. Luke Skywalker status quo is that he is at home in his normal planet Hoth. Luke just wants the Empire to be defeated. Lastly, Monty would be overall an outstanding hero than Luke. Monty has already plans to overcome his obstacles. Monty is receiving advices on how to get his children back from a mother that is like tectonic plates when they meet. When Gabrielle Union tells Monty that he can no longer be her driver Monty was hurt but he knew that falling in loving and working at his father shop wasn't going to let him forget about his precious daughter. When I first watched this Movie I thought it was a good movie for someone to linger back on. Luke isn't a bad hero he just wasn't my cup of tea. Daddy's Little Girl is the right movie to write an Epic Hero Monomyth.
