Ca**ie_w - Experiment 5 #7 lyrics

“We've been saving for this trip for six months,” Darla said irritated. “We're not going to let a little rain ruin our well spent fun.” She was right. He and his wife have been saving their money for six months so they could take their kids to Disneyworld. That means six months of no extra spending on things he would actually enjoy like new parts for the car he's been fixing up for the past year and a half. Now they're finally in Orlando and it's pouring. If anything could make his mood worsen about the idea of this trip, it was knowing he was going to have to walk around Disneyworld with his two kids in the rain. He was hoping that by the time the bus arrived at Magic Kingdom, the rain would lessen or maybe even stop. But of course that didn't happen; it only became stronger. Nonetheless, Tobias and Ruth were still talking excitedly to each other. “Can we go meet The Little Mermaid first,” exclaimed Ruth. “Please Daddy!” “No! I want to go on roller coasters first, and I'm older so I win,” argued Tobias. Great, the arguing has already begun and we're not even in an actual park yet. As he, Darla, and the kids maneuvered their way off of the bus, he tried to make himself get into a better mindset than the negative one he is in now. Darla knew he was more stressed than happy about this trip, so she squeezed his arm and gave him a sweet smile, most likely to try to ensure him that they're going to have fun. “I know, I know, this is for the kids and we'll want this trip back when they're older,” he said to Darla as he gave her a quick kiss on the forehead. With the kids already running ahead of them, he started to walk briskly and stopped the second his eyes caught a kiosk selling rain ponchos. Keeping his eyes on his wife and kids, he quickly bought four of them and trotted after them. “Minnie Mouse, Minnie Mouse!” he heard Ruth screech excitedly. Great, now Ruth will be happy but Tobias is going to complain that Ruth always gets what she wants before him. He watched as Ruth ran up to Minnie Mouse and hugged her a little more tightly than is comfortable for a stranger to be hugged; but the person in the costume is probably used to it. Watching the smile that spread across Ruth's face and hearing her laughter was the first time he felt excited about this trip. Feeling light, he scooped up his daughter and carried her away from Minnie so other kids can have a chance to meet the famous Disney character as well. Darla walked over to them and put her arms around his waste while giving Ruth a kiss on the nose. “This is the best day ever,” Ruth exclaimed to them. For the first time since arriving in Orlando, he felt as if maybe it was really the best day ever. Seeing his kids so full of joy had never been so rewarding. Who cares about the car he's been trying to fix, spending the money he and Darla had been saving for six months on Disneyworld was a good decision. After all, even rainy days can be fun.
