Arthur Isaacson - Beyond Seeing lyrics

When the rains of spring have washed the snow from here and there and mother earth still wears the golden leaves that fell last year. When the trees in hopeful expectation wait their turn along with all the varied flora whether leafed or fern to feel the buds of life for which through winter they have yearned, I watch the span of nature holding its collective breath and wonder what for me is surely coming next. In this time of pause before new birth and re-creation when for me the past is not determining or cessation, unlike the rest I can create the future of my life with plans to build upon the nature given me and strive to change the course of old with newly opened eyes. Somewhere within this breech between two worlds new life comes in unseen, and waits beneath the surface to begin. Just as the light that represents the life force unexposed bears mute witness to the things we cannot see or know, with spring returning comes the sense of something new beneath the pregnant monochrome relief of life's debut, giving to us knowledge not yet learned but still imbued: Beyond seeing is a knowing borne by spring recurring. Tomorrow is the life within the ashes of the past, now stirring.
