We phoned up and left a story with their parents. We told them mine were still there, so they couldn't come until tomorrow. I think we just wanted some time to ourselves because we knew that by then everyone wasn't getting on. So we sat on the veranda and watched the sun set over the loch. Listened to some quiet tunes, finished a bottle of whiskey and agreed that it'd never be as good as before. Like when we met those girls and we went swimming at night. Except Mathew, who still can't swim. They were younger than us we never got anywhere in the end but it would've spoiled it if we had. And we piled up all the empties against the big window and I had everybody pose in front. I took the pictures Then there was that time we gatecrashed the graduation ball in the hotel next to the lodge. Pretended to be students and pretended to be their pals. They were dressed in their kilts and evening gowns and we walked in with our jeans and gutties on. Nearly got our heads kicked in. And on the way back we bumped into that guy with the pro-life sticker on his car window and he got some abuse But it turned out they had phoned my house and spoke to my mum, so they knew we were here. And they turned up at about one or two. By that time we were really pissed, so the holiday didn't really get off to a good start. And you didn't really help matters when you went with Neil's girlfriend. We never see them now but I can't say I miss them
