Angelique B - Week 11 Reading Journal lyrics

10/21/13 Today i read a book about people who are thought to be nutcases; titled "Welcome to the ARK". Its interesting for the most part. i like books like this. makes me think different. 10/22/13 I can never find the same book from the day before but that's fine. I finally got back to the Jay-z book i was reading. so i can't complain. anyways Jay had issues with his father because his dad left them back when he was still a kid; but about 25 yrs later his dad grew ill and his mom arranged for them to talk and they got to talk about everything. Jay-z got closure from the situation and forgave his father for past actions. Then it goes on to talk about how Jay changed a bit to me , they were saying like he was already genuine but he became super humble and sincere with every relationship/friendship he had. 10/23/13 I love and respect Jay-Z's work ethnic. In about 05' he became the president of Def-Jam. He talked about how hard it was and how he wanted to quit the first week. He remembers not being able to find nobody that was "Fresh" or 'New". but the first person he signed was Rihanna. Then he went on to sign QuestLove, ROOTS, Kanye West, And NAS. 10/24/13 The rest of the chapter was about how Jay-z always said he was business man disguised as a rapper but in actuality he loved music.
