Fell down a well
It should be pretty
Like a little fairy tale
For one little person's mind
Not simple but
Long
And involved
And complex
Special fairy
Tales
Fairies wear little
Shiny dresses
And bite your finger
When you're not listening
I'm trying to imagine
Something endlessly enjoyable
A children's story
A children's time
Fairies gather in
They look real
Not make believe
They're having a meeting
They do this each week
Just to see what's real
Some little trolls
Like little frogs
Are always causing trouble
But they're alone
Isolated - friendless
Cheeky fairies
Make the little girls cry
Not the sort of fairy we like to find
Pull their heads off
Peg them to the washing line
Hair and all
Poor things they'll never know
How they go
When a fairy dies
They have a moment's silence
Grieving a little sister gone
And brothers the imps
Come up from their end
And join in song
The kind you don't like
