Across the plains they had roamed
Through the woods and cities they had stormed
Victory! Victory!
In every battle they fought
Corpses of enemy soldiers, wives, and children
Burnt together with the ruins of the land
With the blazons on their helmets the fear died away
In their hearts yet it bloomed in the ones of the enemies
The blazon had become symbolic of an unstoppable force
That follows the flag of the emperor all the way until victory or d**h
Invincible they marched
Through the burnt land
Victory seemed to be tight
In their iron hand
Until the dawn of winter
Every battle had been won
The flag flew proud under the eastern sun
When the first snow fell on the streets
The final battle was at hand
Thunder! Lightning!
Cannons grinded the ground
The blood of the comrade on the snow
The fall of the imagined divinity
Limbs frozen they fought in the icy inferno
Yet the enemy had awoken from its winter sleep
Though enemies fell in herds their numbers seemed to grow
The duty was to fight till the last breath - to never retreat
Persistent they fought
In the burnt land
Victory had fallen
From their iron hand
After the dawn of winter
No more battles were won
The flag hung torn under the eastern sun
By the last dawn thousands and thousands laid dead on the snow
Caught by enemy bullets, hunger, or cold
The distant dreams of victory had bled on the ruined streets
Shattered like the thousands of frozen tears
Abandoned they fell
In the burnt land
Victory had fallen
From their iron hand
After the dawn of winter
No more battles were won
The flag buried in snow under the eastern sun
