The man walked across the wide gravel road
Until- BAM - the ground beneath him glowed
He shuddered, then shivered, then staggered and sank
'Oh great! ' he cursed, 'Who've I to thank? '
He crash-landed onto a thing
He hoped that thing was SOMETHING
That could a**ist him back to the start
'Oh, my Lord! ' He said, 'My beating heart! '
Because- where he was, was a pile of rank
People's droppings that really stank
He jumped and skipped as much as he could
'Oh, my! ' He gagged, 'This isn't good! '
He stopped and stared and looked ahead
Gazing in horror at to whom he'd been led
It was a giant, who beamed in pure delight
'Goody goody! We'll get fed tonight! '
The giant said, 'We need a cauldron, large and stat! '
'Is he thin? Is he stringy? Is he short and fat? '
The exchange of words made the man dread
That he knew his bones would be grinded to make their bread
The man looked down at the disgusting muck
'If I want to be eaten, today, I'm in luck.'
He stood his ground and made his stand
As he sunk, once again, back to land
