I sat down, by myself
In a lounge with broken wings
To watch a band comb lullabies
Out of metal, horns and strings
My own faded memory
Soothed by the music's tone
And danced, as in a dream
I must have been gone
For I woke up with a start
The music was-a hammering
a lost thought in a pub
Just then a door flew open
With a spectre from my past
A beauty made of gla** without a soul
Ain't it just like her to steal
Happiness out of my grasp
Yes I've still got a long way to crawl
Always know where to find me
No matter how deep the hole
Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall
