Went down to Peppermint City in the rain
They had a cup of cake
A hippopotamus in the lake said
Dont be late
And then the ground began to

They ran into the big banana forest
The elephant said
I know the way from here.
They followed in his tracks
Until they found a purple shack
When they turned around
The forest disappeared
(Suddenly disappeared)
To everyones surprise the door flew open
The rhinoceros said
Ill go in and look around
He poked his head inside
And saw a giant water slide
The clouds were made of cotton candy
And the ground was made of clouds
(Soft, soft clouds)
A turtle wearing gla**es said
I see youve found the party
Sound the horn and grab a partner
Cause the dance is getting started
The elephant put Veronica on his back
And did the twist
He said it might look difficult
But its all in the wrist
(Twist wrist, twist)
Veronica and the elephant (and the rhino)
Had to get back home
And be in bed by nine
The turtle called a taxi
And he tipped the driver well
Then he bid the three of them
A fond farewell
The next thing that Veronica knew
She was sailing on the lake
