My favorite Reasonable Doubt lyrics is… Nine to five is how you survive, I ain't trying to survive I'm tryna live it to the limit and love it a lot This is my favorite lyric because... To me, it perfectly encapsulates one of the main themes of the album: getting money/being successful by any means necessary. This album (and this song, D'Evils), both focus on Hov's illegally unorthodox methods of attaining success, as well as the mental/physical consequences that come with said actions. Another reason I love this lyric is because of the way Jay surfs the beat with each word; the emphasis and tone on “I'm tryna live…” switch about every two syllables, closing the bar on the right beat. Few artists besides Jiggaman can convey ideas with such a mixture of realness and lyricism
