Another Christ goes home for the weekend
Sees a crossroad, and just stares
A mother cries to some homeless preacher
She walks across his cardboard cell
We try meditation
To hide in empty smiles
No cause to fight for
Life's short; but still there's too much time
Take tons of medication
Still we feel too sane
It's pain that thrives here... outlives our years
Another light burns out in our wasteland
A wise man crawls from the mount
Once he was blind, now he sees what was taken
Double-crossed, he pawns a crown
We try meditation
To hide in pa**ing trends
No loves to live for
Faith comes, but she leaves when we're spent
Find trust in medication
Still we fall like rain
Our pain survives us, we leave it here
