Aces and crises they go hand in hand
Playing poker down at the Telegraph Exchange
The same crowd would gather every Saturday night
But this evening was different now the stakes were high
A fight broke out between two young men
Many games were played that night
Only one man would win her love
Daniel and Andy were the two men involved
Daniel lost his tenth hand straight and the woman he loved
Andy was bragging telling all of his friends
That Daniel he was a loser man, the kid could never win
Andy swears it was self defense
Came to in the neon light
Daniel's blood on his hands and he cried
Some things you just can not mend
Aces and crises go hand in hand
When you fall for the Queen of Hearts
Down at the Telegraph Exchange
Ten years have gone by and the faces have changed
But the ghosts of the past they still remain
And all of these faces just come out of the rain
As Andy walks the streets down by the Telegraph Exchange
Take my soul and leave me there
And leave me there
