Ruby Sue drove her Subaru
Out to San Diego
Pa**in' cars, Winnebagos
On the desert floor
When she hit that Golden State
She looked out on the water
And right then it caught her
And she knew what she had to do
She said this world is a mystery
Some say it's always been
Figure it out just start over again
And, she shed a tear
For the pa**ing year
And all those ships at the bottom of the sea
Ruby Sue drove her Subaru
Out to New York City
Where the boys and girls are pretty
And oh so qualified
Stood there on that filthy street
And felt the pa**ing cars
She looked up to see the starlight
But just saw windows in their place
She said this world is a mystery
Some say it's always been
Figure it out just start over again
You can shed a tear
For the pa**ing year
And all lost loves that will never be
Ruby Sue parked her Subaru
Starred into the sunset
Thought to get her feet wet
'Cause they were bone dry
Slowly climbed into the back seat
Her tiny hands were shaking
She was dressed all in white
When she turned out the light
And they never heard from her again
This world is a mystery
Some say it's always been
Figure it out just start over again
You can shed your tears
For the pa**ing years
And, all those ships at the bottom of the sea
And, all lost loves that will never ever be
