He sits on that rock
day afer day
His back straight and eyes set
His smile creeps
when he remembers the day we met
He blinks once,
turns the page.
His hands appear to have grown in age.
A drop from heaven-a tear, a cry
falls into his hand
As he lets out a sorrowful sigh.
His mind is clouded by thoughts of me
as he tries his best to grasp every memory.
My touch, my scent, my skin
For him, my heart was always open.
When i left, i hurt him so,
I wish now, God han't let me go
He then remembers his vow,
If i were to leave, he would follow.
He stands and decides to take his final bow.
God save him from this pitiful fate,
Grant him a d**h one of honor not hate.
Gone! my lover his soul set free
We will meet at the gates...I'll await thee
Like a flickering candle in mid air,
I wait for him-the one i love and care.
I sense his presence coming near,
We were always meant to be together,
It is now so very clear.
