[Verse 1]
Lights emit from the furthest of hills
Laced with the tracks of roller coaster thrills
Crawling along the sidelines are thousands of creatures
With the same moldy, sameness of features
On my lone again, this time a stone
Going back and forth which road I call my own
It's like the world is confused on which way to go
Which one's the turn which sign do I earn
The control freaks rumbling through my own beach
Shot them all down step back it's my own peak
Need a safe location we can run and hide
What's the combination? Our small collective sigh
[Hook]
Wonder what's in store
Wonder what's in store
Wait on it
Lean on it
Everyone's dead
[Verse 2]
When you're locked in a jail it's hard to keep your head up
Takes more strength than your knees just to get up
Decisions even small ones are big like a dragon
Impairments impair more than you can imagine
Sk**s include menial tasks even spaces
Or the ability to discern faces
But just to concentrate on your own thoughts
Could be the hardest art or war you have fought
A wise man once said, yeah he once said to me
Get positivity, and not negativity
And ultimately to strive for longevity
These are the feelings to have in our hearts
As I'm waddling around waiting for others to start
All the buildings are old and have lots of mimes
That think big thoughts and climb all the time
Yet they're stuck inside some lonely stuffy corners
They don't need anyone to point out that they're loners
And the bleakness feels too bleak, dull, and tragic
Unfortunately no way to disappear into magic
No way to escape, no lock, shock or barrel
No stars up above, no dance, light, or carol
Nor croquet shoots, nor remedy mindful sterile
Even dreamscapes are real low and a ha**le
No hopes real big no royal mighty castle
[Hook]
[Verse 3]
I look into the sky and notice the sun is setting
Paving the way to a twin day I'm betting
Washed out, deadbeat glowing with a stinging
And as it goes down I'm realizing something
The stars are bright, glorious and important
But they're trillions of distance away from hold and comfort
The light they shine is the only thing they live for
In the end their light is the just like our glow
They send it out but don't know where it might go
So I remember that in every moment I feel low
Always seeking the rhetorical, hoping it will hit me
Feeling impatient 'cuz knowledge can be stingy
Leaping over fences, other difficult defenses
Looking for the feelings, trying different tenses
But depression is an aardvark that hasn't found his roots
Or a graduate from Harvard on a list of new recruits
[Hook]
