There's a little red fox in the corner
Of a field by a country lane
She's looking out, she's a mother
She's got five cubs at play
She looks left and she looks right
There's nothing coming her way
She's scared to cross over
Cuase she lost her mate that way
Through bored conversation
For a little harmless fun
For fun and recreation
To run her big white horse
The lady of the manor
All dressed in red and grey
Amidst the hounds and the laughter
She set the hunt away
The little red fox in the corner
Of a field by a country lane
Heard the sound of disaster
Decided to play their game
She stepped up on an old stone wall
That ran along the way
Till she came to an old hollow willow tree
That her mate showed her one day
She jumped up and hid inside
And waited till they came
And milled around in confusion
Lost interest and went away
There's a little red fox in the corner
Of a field by a country lane
She's looking out, she's a mother
She's got five cubs at play
