Lakshmi laid inches away, deeply inhaling
The espers of dreams
Angel's breath: take flight on wings
The progeny of our failings
Bands slice across a thigh: red; purple; pink - see?
Maliciously Marred Majesty, hasn't he?
Each Line laid lay origin claim
To emotions over which no master reign
Silent listeners hear their whispers
Of hate made manifest
Of betrayal (one eye open, an unending search for rest)
Of Heart lulling lies; for those do you cry?
Angel's Breath, an ephemeral embrace
Lakshmi laid inches away, who dare
Force their Heart, and nerve, and sinew
To serve a courage so rare
Only Brahma imagines it in you.
Then close the distance, Oh Mortal!
What offer do you make to the divine,
When your sacrifice is a pittance, Oh Mortal?
Goddess's Grace, ephemeral embrace, sublime
Haughty is the pride that seeks to heal
a Goddess. Wonder now the wonder tainted
by Man's benevolent intent.
Innate within she holds the implements to seal
the pain, heaven made hell, so real.
Presume it for mortal touch she waited
Man's lust fated Beauty spent
Heaven sent, heaved and wrung.
Crack the Earth, let loose thy bow
Where arrow strike shall eternal river flow
And it shall cleanse sinfulness
Beware those waters in reflect
Man's deeds; sin clearly shown
Terrible beauty: Beauty made terrible
Lakshmi laid inches away, deeply inhaling
the espers of dreams.
Realize — Finally!— what her presence means.
Life is blessed, far from ailing
With Angel's breath drawn deep
Meet Triumph and Disaster in Vishnu's keep
In who's arms, if any, does Lakshmi sleep?
Label no price as to steep--
Following dreams of tomorrow, tonight seen--
or forevermore
Resign to morn and weep
As life becomes a plague
