If I write songs that only sound like songs
The songs that I write will be rubbish.
And if you choose words that merely sound like words then
Half of the things you tell me could be lies.
In inverse proportion to the truth that we once spoke.
Extrapolating to the point where things get broken.
Trust is just belief without evidence.
Faith is a river that leads to the light.
So if I write songs that only sound like songs
Then you can sleep better tonight.
