Anthony: Hey Ash, whatcha playin'? Ash: Katamaui Damacy. (Ash excitedly rolls a big ball around the house to the Katamari theme song. She tries to roll up the dog, and then Anthony. She tosses it against his head.) Ash: Katamaui. Ant: (Silence.) Ash: I got you dese. (Hands him Katamari king-style headgear.) Ant: I'm not really in the mood. Ash: (Putting it on herself) You could be the queen if you want. Ant: No. Ash: What's wrong with you? Ant: Nothing. Ash: Did you get dumped? Ant: No. Ash: She find out you were gay? Ant: No. Ash: Well you are gay. Ant: What? Ash: She catch you making out with a guy? Ant: No! Ash: Was he good looking? Ant: What the f**. Ash: You were desperate, huh. Ant: What. Ash: Happens to the best of us. Ant: Ash I'm just not into— Ash: Girls? Ant: —Katamari anymore. Ash: Why? It's fun. Ant: I know it's a good game, but Ash: Everybody love Katamari. Ant: I know. Ash: We Love Katamari. Ant: I know that.
Ash: (Pbbt.) Ant: At GDC this year, Keita Takahashi talked about how it was supposed to be this big critique of capitalism and consumption, and it just sort of depresses me. Ash: (Sniffs absentmindedly.) Ant: Like you're rolling all this stuff to create a huge ball, but the ball doesn't exist except as a means to collect more things, and you just want to consume and take everything, to no actual purpose, other than to just keep taking things. Ash: It's fun. Ant: It's not supposed to be. And Noby Noby Boy didn't make any money, and most gamers don't enjoy it, and he might not even get to make another game, and it just... depresses me. Ash: That's not fun. Ant: No, it isn't. Sometimes life isn't funny. (Credits) Ash: (Hums the Katamari theme while putting the king headgear on Papa Burch, who sighs despondently and holds up an apple.) Ant: Now say, "This Katamari feels very appley." Papa Burch: This what? (The kids guffaw)
