A lifetime away
Away so afar
No traveling can bond
A lifetime apart
When there was a time
There wasn't a day
There only stood souls
In a lifetime away
He gazed at her image
In a picture of the past
And the image was held
Deep inside to last
His whole life on end
He felt her so close
But no she was gone
Yet he dreamed her ghost
He heard her in dreams
Enchanting his mind
He saw her in crowds
But his eyes had lied
And then her reflection
In ponds so clear
And then he began
To wish her near
He prayed there in silence
But to no avail
Yet deep there inside
He couldn't have failed
There night after night
His faith was displayed
Although his hope
Would fade and fade
Then a day, and a dream
And a time came to be
As his soul was called
With the sky to meet
And a love to find
In a heaven so dear
It was there she awaited
His soul to appear
And then as he did
They stared for a time
Their eyes climbing mountains
Of time so divine
They stayed there in heaven
Two stars in the sky
There born to stay lit
There never to die
