The first days of spring
When your body thaws
And the melted snow reveals
All the garbage on the front yard
Old uptown almanacs
That seemed so out of date
And the dirty boxes
With your mothers antique plates
That you sold on consignment
Rather than throw away
Giving them to strangers
So they'll live another day
No im spending too much time
Where i dont belong
All the pretty horses
Keep singing the same old songs
Pushing your bu*tons
That i pushed for too long
And the only thing thats changed
Is now youre gone
Take what im saying
With a grain of salt
Its just the way i am
Its nobody's fault
If you name the time
I will pick the place
Stirring up old memories
I tired so hard to erase
Just like the straw
That broke the camel's back
Anyone can be replaced
You said its a matter of fact
Now i got what i came for
And im stuck in reverse
So give me your loving darling
And help me break this curse
