The Genesis Myth and Greek Myth are similar and different in there own ways. There similar and different with Archetypes, Gods, and Believes. The first of many archetypes between the Greek and the Genesis Myths would be the villain archetype. The Greek archetype would be when “Cronus swallowed each of his children.” This makes Cronus the villain because, he swallowed his children due to his greediness for power. In the Genesis Myth the serpent told the women “you won't die if you eat from that tree and God told them not to eat from the tree because they would get as powerful as him." This makes the serpent the villain; he is trying to go against God's word and make Eve do something God told her not to do. The villain archetype is the person in the story who brings harm or bad within others. Both of these Myths express this archetype. One difference among their archetype would be that Genesis has a sibling rivalry and in the Greek Myth has an father vs son rivalry. In the Genesis Myth “Cronus was yet defeated. He and the titans, except Prometheus, Epimethius, and Ocean*s, fought to retain their power.” Cronus is angry with Zeus his son and is ready to go to war with him; this is archetype of father vs son rivalry. In the Genesis Myth “Cain brought God not his best products from of his farm Cain kept them for his self, and gave good some of his average or ok offerings. His brother Abel also brought God offerings, but from the firstborn animals of his herd choice out of meat. Abel gave God his best offerings were Cain didn't.” God accepted Abel offerings and not Cain, because of that Cain was extremely angry k**ing Abel. Cain and Abel are competing to give god there offerings. This Shows that there is a sibling rivalry in the Genesis Myth. These two archetype shows the differences between Greek and Genesis Myth.
