Far off in a distant land
A man crosses the desert sand
He wanders in a moonlit night
Trying his best to make things right
Taught to hate differences at an early age
Intolerance grew and fueled his rage
Fighting in wars with something to prove
Anger consumed his every move
But something changed the course of his life
The day he met his future wife
Love now battled hate in his mind
Until he realized he had been blind
Now he answers to a different call
And he searches for ways to help us all
For in all darkness a light can shine
But only if one opens their mind
