[Jayy Lee]
It was just another day, around the way
Amounting fate, or what they weighed out as just the same
The equivalent, equating lust, but it's just as evident
Because these gods, by coincidence, created what was heaven sent
And at this point, it was Zeus who sent Persephone
To Hades to go and be his wife, and she put up a fight
But it was meant to be, Hades bursted into site
From the ground, carried by these horses, who'd amount
To be enough to drag her down with all their force
To of course, the underground, but around that time
Her mother, Demeter, heard a strange sound, screaming
From what perceived to be her daughter
Daunting for an answer, or the plotter, acting antsy
Tottering for a clue, she spoke to to Hecate
And what did they go do?
They went and asked Helios, who went and snitched on Zeus
Inducing ill emotions, Demeter set loose
To no use, Zeus ignored her attempts at persuasion
So she stepped down from her position, possessing
Pissed off expressions, swearing to hold off on all progression
Of crops and everything that grows on earth
Sparking famine, fatalities, to utilize the worth of the matter
Zeus faltered and shattered
With the issue, told Hades he had to let her go
Back home to her mother, but little did they know
He fed her pomegranate seeds, which basically means
That she could never leave the underworld
So they made a deal
Still to this day, the balance remains
4 months of every year she has to stay
Creating seasons, in a way
Cuz now plants only grow, during the other 8
(hook-repeat)
'cuz love is like a season, the reason
Is treason, if Zeus never made a deal
We'd have food all year
So the moral of the story is, if you can't tell
Don't eat anything if you ever go to hell
