Back when we were little kids
It had a lot of benefits
We would just be kicking it
Sitting, eating cereal, with TV on the stereo
Tom and Jerry, here we go
We would never feel alone
Everyday we would change, never stay the same
Get them colours and paint away
Super Mario playing days
I remember Yu-Ghi-OH
We played Sonic on Sega Genesis
We was never hesitant
To make a mistake or to share how felt
To talk about ourselves, With confidence
Feels like now everybody's the opposite
I feel bad for this generation
They'll never have what we had, they must really hate it
Complaining about the iPhones, is the their problems
Complaining about crayons was my problem
Where my colours at, I wanna show them my best work
Rocked the snap-backs, back then, no social network
No twitter
No Facebook, we would get up and just get us
Fresh air outside, We enjoyed life
We would hang out, do stupid sh** and it was all fine
All night, these thoughts keep me up
Like how the hell the media
Prolly brainwashes and they feeding us
All kinds of lies, at the age where we can't get our feet right up
One for the for the past, two for the friends
All the kids who never even saw till the end
And I'm just reminiscing..yeah
I'm just reminiscing
Racing to see who was the faster kid
Building blocks, imaginative
Pa**ionate, about everything that we did
Back then, I would only grab a pad and pen
To draw what I had, thought the world be like in the future
Clearly, that didn't happen sh**
Back when we were little kids
It had a lot of benefits
We would just be kicking it
Sitting, eating cereal, with TV on the stereo
Tom and Jerry, here we go
We would never feel alone
