Some have a glow
Bursting from golden heart
I capture
But struggle to release
Go little lighting bug
Show us to sail aloft
At peace
With the flicker of days
Communicate with myself
Love
And that to the world too
Allow us to fuse our light
Through the darkness
Allow us to speak gentle words
Through our egos
Allow us to forgive imperfection
Through sharp tongues
I know this to be an evolution
Yin, yang, and all
I know not to reckon the past
For with no mud, there is no lotus
Let us kiss the stem we sit on
And exchange a gift:
My lotus is yours
Yours mine
We grow together amidst this muddy pond
Our suffering one
Our beauty, unique and inseparable
Like two boats flowing down the same stream
Connected thoroughly
We vow to shed the ego
And watch as it knocks
Let us accept its pa**ing, its intrusions
The bloodshed
Our smiles
And all the colorful words
Together we are strong and forgiving
Like water carving the most magnificent canyons
