Humanity struggles
As sin flows
Drowning the earth
And virtue staggers
Truth loses its value
As it gets overshadowed
By lies
Mother earth bleeds with sorrow
As the morrow
Is filled with despair
And the flicker of hope dies out
But somewhere
Somewhere in the darkness
I see a light
When I see a small boy
Feed crumbs to a mongrel
Or a lady helping
An old man to cross the road
Just as a lotus
Pristine pink, grows
In murky water
A light shines
Somewhere in the darkness
And as long as man lives
So does the light
