She sleeps outside
In the bitter cold
She'd cry but what's the point
She's homeless at sixteen years old
She misses her home
The warmth of her bed
It's been too long since she's had
Somewhere real to lay her head
She doesn't know when
She'll eat her next meal
She holds her stomach to ease the pain
The world she lives in now is just too real
She prays someone will find her
And give her a home
Wishes for someone to love her
So she doesn't have to be alone
But she lays on this bench
With only herself to hold
She'd never planned on being homeless
At sixteen years old.
