20 years ago when I was five years old me and mom were alking hand-in-hand on the sidewalk
We were singing to each other some old silly songs i didnt know the words but I love to sing along
She reached into her pocket and pulled out a little change set me down by the fountain and then she said to me
Close your eyes count to 10 Make-A-Wish and throw it in
And now I’m 25 years old and I am still tossing and pennies still hoping that my dreams will come true
What seems crazy to you means everything to me it’s amazing what a little faith can do
That’s why am still tossing pennies
Well I’m older now and I’ve learned life is hard I remember when all I wish for was a little guitar
But now I’m on the verge of pawning everything off
Broken strings, broken dreams, an a little change is all I’ve got
And now I’m 25 years old and I am still tossing and pennies still hoping that my dreams will come true
What seems crazy to you means everything to me it’s amazing what a little faith can do
That’s why am still tossing pennies
