Try to speak for those who don't have a choice
The forgotten children we'll provide with a voice
Wonder why we always talk about them girls & boys
Told you once, they're pearls, but don't make noise
They don't make headlines, yet they walk with poise
Regardless of your birthplace, you deserve to rejoice
Innocent from birth, but the burden broke his back
Life wasn't fair-no one was there- so he lost track
Still no one care- he never knew his mom or his dad
Could no longer bear, so he sought comfort in crack
So sad, but a reality, from Washington to Bagdad
Everybody is so busy blowing their own trumpet
But it's easy to talk about poverty on a full stomach
And your double standards stick like sh** to a shovel
Teach kids to be real, not someone else's puppet
You promote war, but never heard a gunshot before
You have everything in life, but still want more
Looking everywhere, but what are you looking for
It's so easy to talk about coexistence & tolerance
Watching the world from a position of dominance
So ask yourself, if you have a clean conscience
Don't write about love, but people with few options
Guess- I was blessed-so represent those who have less
Because I know people who have been through stress
And I always tell them- smile- because life is a test
