[Verse 1]
Is the world ready for the return of black power
Intelligent and militant war ready every hour
Street smarts, book smarts, makes no difference
We slaves to white privilege, universal racism
Perpetuated through generations, cultural displacement
How can we belong where we used to be segregated?
And looked down upon since our ancestors hanging on trees
As less than human beings, we built this nation
Our patience is unparalleled
Tolerant to injustice
Paranoid by police
Failed media coverage
The system is crumbling, exposing the lies
It's not televised but on the web world wide
Can't hide institutionalized enterprise
Profits over the man and blacks don't stand a chance
I don't know the solution but my vision is lucid
And I ain't the only one feeling this movement brewing
[Verse 2]
Protests and marches, rally the forces
Power to the people, continue awareness
Create the conversation with co workers and friends
Discuss current affairs and racial tensions
No more excuses, time to educate the youth
No skin color excluded, let unity be the proof
We stand hand to hand overcome, move past
The negative stereotypes til new ones last
Black excellence in every continent
Return to royalty before our thrones were taken
What I'm saying's not for the purpose of blame
Cause complaining bout the past never brought about change
We can't let Mike Brown die in vain
And keep up the fight after the headlines fade
Don't lose the faith this ain't the first time
And when history repeats they erase and rewrite
