To Governor Curtin, Enclosing A Letter To William O. Snider.
Executive Mansion, Washington, July 25, 1864.
GOVERNOR CURTIN:
Herewith is the man*script letter for the gentleman who sent me a cane through your hands. For my life I cannot make out his name; and therefore I cut it from his letter and pasted it on, as you see. I suppose [sic] will remember who he is, and I will thank you to forward him the letter. He dates his letter at Philadelphia.
Yours truly,
A. LINCOLN.
