12-2-13 The next day Tris is awakened by the sound of people shuffling. she wakes up to see the dormitory nearly empty with only Christina left. She walks up to Christina but sees that she has a blank stare on and isn't paying much attention while tying her shoes. Tris decides to go along with the act and follows all the other dauntless members out. They are all armed. She sees Eric in front keeping an eye out over the dauntless members. So she tries to mimic the expression that everyone else has. Once she gets past him she decides to look for four. When she spots him she walks up to him and notices that he isn't under the serum. he tells her that the serum that they were injected with was created by the Erudite to be able to control the dauntless so they would k** all the abnegation. 12-3-13 Tris spots Eric and Jeanine Mathews heading in their direction, so she and Four continue to act as if they were under the serum. Eric points a gun to Four's head and when he is about to shoot, Tris points a gun at his head. Eric is shocked and puts his gun down but Tris shoots him in the foot so she and Four can get away. 12-4-13 When Tris and Four were running away one of the dauntless soldiers fired and shot her in the soldier. Then they caught them and were taken to Jeanine Mathews office.There they confront her and Jeanine Mathews talks about how she has been curious about what made them divergent and that she had developed a serum that would not be able to be overpowered. 12-5-13 Four reaches over and almost k**s Jeanine when she says that Tris is going to die since she is useless with an injured shoulder. Jeanine's guards hold Four down while she injects them with the new serum. At first Four goes limp then he wakes up again and he starts to stare at Tris. Then he tries to k** her thinking that she is a bad person. 12-6-13 Jeanine tells him to stop then sends him to the control room so he can monitor the dauntless soldiers. Then she sends Tris to her execution. Eric leads her into a room with a tank full of water. It was one of her fears projected on her fear landscape. he locks her inside while he goes back to Jeanine. Tris was trying to act like it was just from the serum and tries to escape. Just as she is starting to give up she hears gun shots and the voice of her mother.
