10-28-13 The next day during training Tris must fight against Peter. She doesn't feel so confident about it and ends up loosing to him. She awakes in the dauntless hospital with a black eye and a throbbing pain in her leg. Tris feels very exhausted throughout the next day and doesn't fight in the next training session. The day after the dauntless-born initiates and the transfers go and begin to play a game of paint ball. Four and Eric are captains. Four picks Tris and her friends except for Al while Eric chooses the others then they split the other initiates evenly. The two teams go and find a place to hide their flag. Four's team goes to the pier, an abandoned fair, and hide their flag there. While the others argue over how to infiltrate the other teams flag Tris decides to climb the Ferris wheel to be able to see where the other team has hidden their flag. 10-29-13 She is able to spot it and is able to get down from the Ferris wheel, with a little help from Four. Then she goes to the others and tells them where Eric's team's flag is so they set out to capture it. When they get there both Cristina and Tris try to reach for the flag but Tris lets Cristina get it. Four's team won and so they celebrate while Eric's team is disappointed on the way back to the pit. The next day they do target practice again but this time with knifes. So they initiates try to hit the target on the wall with knifes. Four shows them a demonstration and then lets them do it on their own. While everyone is actually throwing the knifes Tris practices without it trying to perfect her hand gestures and movement so when she throws her first one it hits her target. 10-30-13 The next day is visiting day. Tris doesn't expect her parents to go visit her but, then she spots her mother among the crowd and runs to hug her. She asks about her father and is told that he had too much work to do but that he still loves her. Tris asks her mother if she will go visit Caleb later in the Erudite compound and her mother said she would if she could since they prohibit Abnegation from entering the Erudite compound. Tensions between Abnegation and Erudite are higher than ever. Tris' mother spots Four and asks about him so Tris tells her that he is an instructor they walk over to introduce Tris's mother to Four. She asks about how Tris is doing and Four says she is doing fine. Then Four leaves and Tris and her mother walk over to Will and his family. His sister greets them with hostility since she is an Erudite. She accuses Tris's mother of hording goods and claims that the factionless don't need to be fed.So to avoid conflict Tris and her mother go into a separate hall to have a more private conversation. Tris's mother knows that tris is divergent and warns her to be careful and to not draw too much attention to herself. 10-31-13 Happy Halloween!!!!!! Later that day Tris goes back to her room, which she shares with the other initiates, and finds Al there. She tells him that his parents were looking for him, and he says he was trying to avoid them because they both had wanted him to go to dauntless, but that they would be ashamed of him since he was most likely ranked last or near last place. Tris tries to comfort Al, but is not sure what to say. Then Al says that he likes her but, she tells him she doesn't feel the same way. So she decides to leave him alone and not bother him.
