Excellent paragraphs include: (TS) Topic sentences introduce what will be said in the paragraph. They are the main idea of what is said. (CD) Concrete details are straight up facts. They bring in information right from the text used. They can be examples or quotes. (CM) Commentaries are your opinions. Like how the concrete detail relates to the topic sentence. Or how it was important in any way. You write what you feel about the topic and it must relate to the CD or the TS in some way. (CS) The concluding sentence basically rap up what was said in the paragraph. It rephrases what the thesis and topic sentence say.
