An epic hero monomyths is a twelve step cycle which almost all hero's go through. The steps include the status quo, call to adventure, a**istance, departure, trails, approach, crisis, treasure, results, return, new life, resolution and lastly status quo once again. In the movie of Star Wars, Luke Skywalker fulfills as an epic hero. Also the character Peter Pevensie from the movie The Chronicles of Narnia shows characteristic of an epic hero as well. If I had to choose between Luke and Peter as the best role model, I'd say Peter Pevensie. In the story of star wars, Luke Skywalker is known as an epic hero because he starts out ordinary and turns out saving the planet from Darth Vader. At first Luke is a normal teenager that lives on a farm with his uncle with ordinary chores. He then finds a secret message from princess Leia asking for Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi's help. Later Luke finds himself with Obi Wan and tells him about Princess Leia being held hostage by the evil forces of the Galactic Empire in their effort to take over the galaxy. Obi Wan ask Luke for his help to save the princess and teaches him about the force. So they go on a journey to find her with the company of C-3PO, R2-D2, Han and Chewbacca. They end up saving princess Leia and Luke destroys the d**h star. Peter Pevensie is seen as hero for his bravery and consideration. Peter is the eldest out of the four siblings. Not only did he become High King of Narnia after he brought an end to the White witch and her never ending winter but also was a good role model. From the start we see him putting his family before others, always looking out for them. He was responsible and caring, always wanting to do what best for his family. During the Battle of Beruna he ordered his brother (Edmund) to go and find the girls and get them home. Peter wanted to prevent his brother from getting injured or even k**ed .He also wants his sisters to avoid being involved with the battle. Personally, I would say Peter Pevensie would be the best person to look up to. Peter as the oldest of four siblings he teaches us responsibility. We see him always fostering his family .He teaches us how important family is. How family relies on each other for support. Siblings are thought to love and care for one another. In other hand, a hero is person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Although Luke Skywalker is known as a hero he doesn't teaches us good morals like the ones Peter thought. For that reason the conception of an epic hero monomyth is important because it helps understand the story briefly. By showing step by step what the hero goes through.
